Before purchasing this I'd read comments about poor durability. I will say when you pull it out of the box, you may think that, but fill it with 250 lbs of sand like we did and it's highly durable. This is the first sandbox I saw that wasn't an eyesore (read: red crab or green turtle). This sandbox works well with landscaping bricks we already were using and is barely noticeable in our yard. My children are aged 2 and 3 and both fit well in this with a number of sand play toys. My 3 year old can take the cover off himself. My 2 year old likes to play on the cover and jump on it. They will play in the sand indefinitely - until I tell them it's time to hose off and go inside. All in all a good choice of sandbox for my crew.

I purchased this nice looking sandbox for my 4 year old niece. It holds between 200-300 lbs. of sand and is large enough for about 2-3 small children to play in together. A child sat on top of the plastic lid and dented it the first day we had it, but we were able to pop it back into place.
Overall this is a beautiful sandbox and it has alot of space for my 2 year old son.
The thing is the second day we opend it in the morning there was a huge spider sitting in it. That really scared me, I have bought this sandbox because it has a cover and I have read that no critter would get in it. This is kind of disappointing to me....

I bought the house in this set a couple of years ago and loved it so much that I decided to complete the set with the picnic table and sandbox this summer. I put the house together easily and found the picnic table to be easy too. The whole set looks fantastic in our backyard and doesn't clutter it up with a plastic look, since it has the natural look. (The house has been taken apart twice and put back together twice due to use in a church and later relocation in another state and it is still in great condition.) If you have younger children and the money, buy the set or piece by piece!

I been very please with the Naturally Playful Sandbox I ordered. I like it's attractive design, size and the sand color for use on my patio. The sandbox is very weather resistant. Even with the bad weather we have been having this year, here in the Mid-west, with thunderstorms with very strong winds, the lid has stayed on to keep the sand dry. My 4 year grandson enjoys playing in the sandbox by himself or with his neighborhood friends. He is able to lift the lid off by himself so he doesn't need help whenever he wants to play in his sandbox. I do have to help him put the lid back on. The only con is the four corners aren't that wide for comfortable seating so the children do not sit on them when playing in the sandbox.

I added two handles on each side of the lid so I could tie it down in the storms we have. It also lets us remove the lid easer.

JUST NEED TO FIND A WAY TO KEEP LID ON BETTER. WE USE TWO LONG BUNGIE CORDS THAT WORK WELL. BUT TAKES AWAY FROM THE DESIGN ON THE SANDBOX.HOOK BUNGIE CORDS FROM CORNER TO CORNER HOOK IN MIDDLE ON TOP EASY TO UNHOOK AND EASY TO HOOK BACK AND SAFE FOR THE KIDS TUCK UNDER BOTTOM.

I think this sandbox is really cute, the perfect size for my small-medium backyard and perfect size for my 2 year old. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because my daughter really won't play with it unless I get in with her. Her favorite thing to do with the sandbox right now is to "race" to it :) I have high hopes, though, that she will soon gain more interest.

This sandbox is fabulous! It looks great and it's durable. I am a big "reviewer" of products before I buy and I have to say that I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I live in Florida and we have some pretty windy thunderstorms and this sandbox has kept all of the water out and there are no bugs what so ever! My son is 2 and he loves his sandbox!!!! I highly recommend this product!!

It has a cover, which is great for keeping rain, birds, dogs and other animals out of the sand. Great yard play for kids. Good size so kids can play together.

I'm very impressed with this sandbox. We gave it to our daughter on her 2nd birthday, and all 7 kids at her party were in it at once. The simple design looks great in our yard. Plus, we live on a hill and get high winds a lot, the top stays on, and the sand stays dry. I'd like it to be a little bigger, but really it's a fine size.

I bought this for my Grandson. He is 28 months and really enjoys playing in it when he comes to visit. His toys fit nicely inside when the cover is on. The cover so far has not blown off in windy weather and it keeps the sand clean and dry when in place.

The bottom is very sturdy. No trouble supporting my 3 year old when she sits on the side. I am a little concerned about whether the top will stay on in a strong wind.
I bought this for my boys 5 y/o and 20 months at the time and they love it! the youngest loves playing in the box as does the 5 year old. It holds alot of sand and the colors blend in with any back yard! plus I love that they can sit on the sides.
this was an excellent choice for our two grandsons in texas. their other grandparents had given them gardening toys but these little guys had no where to dig. this was the perfect solution to thier digging delima... and boy have they used their sandbox. it has become one of their favorit toys to play with and it gets them outdoors.
We bought this for our daughters birthday and we haven't been able to get her out of it since.
We really enjoy it. It has enough room for my 4 yr old and 1.5 yr old to play together with buckets, shovels and small vehicles. The Mega-DumpTruck and Excavator also fit ... when they share. The lid does keep sprinkler water and rain from getting in ~ though we often add our own for sand castle building! :) Overall ~ a very nice sandbox!! (I have not used other boxes for comparison ~ but will also add that this lid has not blown off in the few very windy afternoons we've had.)
