If you want a car that will go uphill, on grass and carry two children at medium speed then this is the only car that will do it. Some really fun features include...a hood that opens up to expose a realistic engine that the kids can work on with the tool kit that comes with it and a pull out working radio. [...] I would purchase this car again.

Best Uses:

This ride-on toy was not difficult to assembled, but did require two people longer than originally thought. There are numerous "stickers" to put on - if you so choose. We also found it difficult for a small 4 year old to use. Its very big compared to other similar toys, which is very nice for our ten year old and harder for our 4 year old. Its very solid though, so we look forward to having it and using it for many years.

Gaucho not so great

Cons:
Intermittent
Best Uses:
Outdoor

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The jeep looks great and has great features. Unfortunately, ours will run for a few seconds, stop, then go again. I charged the battery for 20 hours the first time so it's not an issue with poor battery charging procedure. I have now been on hold for 15 minutes with Peg Perego with no luck. A call to the local service sites results in voicemail and I have yet to receive a callback. All in all, not yet a great experience.

Fantastic child's ride-on
By Landon's Grandmom from Tabor City, NC on 1/1/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy Assembly, Fun, Realistic
Cons:
Poor Instructions
Best Uses:
Group Activity, Imaginative Play, Outdoor, Young Children
Describe Yourself:
Grandparent, Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My grandson received this and he loves it. The tires have great traction and it plows right through mud and tall grass. This is so much better than the 12 volt models. My husband said the directions were not very good but it was simple to put together anyway. My grandson attached his wagon to the back and pulls his cousin with no difficulty. Pricey but definately worth it. I expect he will use it for many years to come.

The Gauch is a dual use vehicle now. My grandaughter gets to ride on it and I've added some mechanical and electronics to allow me to remote control the vehicle or use it as an autonomous explorer in it's spare time.
