Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This was broken by my 14 month old when he dropped it on our hard wood floors the third time he was playing with it. The wheel block broke off and created an unsafe edge. [...] Overall, I don't regret my purchase, but I was disappointed to have to take away a toy my son liked because it broke so quickly. I'm hoping it was a fluke and not an indication of the quality of the products as a whole.

First Wooden Toys are great. I - the Dad - bought them for my daughter for Christmas after she was getting a lot of dolls, books, etc. She loves them and plays with them constantly. Well built, durable, fun colors, easy for her to hold at 20 months, all parts move easily. Great item.
