About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. Da Vinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

Easy to assemble, attractive changing table. Plenty of storage, and fits in a small space. Perfect fit for our nursury!

I had hoped for better quality given the price. The stain of the wood is very orange, nothing like in the picture. Only the very thin laminate pieces for the sides are the color I was expecting, but the rest clashes with my Honey Oak crib. The large screws on the sides are visible and ugly, they could have had at least shipped screw caps. The drawers feel flimsy.
The color of the wood turned out exactly like the picture on-line. It has a very smooth finish and will last us a long time. The drawers aren't heavy-duty but they will be perfect for light baby items.
