About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. Da Vinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

I was looking for a changing table for my twin baby boys that had good quality and value. I was also looking for something that I could use later on as a regular dresser when they outgrew the "changing" portion. What a great buy. The furniture was very attractive and arrived unmarred.
