About the Tiger:
Of the eight original subspecies of tigers, three have become extinct in the last 60 years. The journey towards extinction continues for the other subspecies. The number of tigers in the 1900s exceeded over 100,000, but by the 1970s dropped to 4,000. Today they are a critically endangered species with the total of all the wild populations at an estimated 4,600 - 7,700 tigers. Thanks to your purchase of the Endangered Species Stroller, BabyPlanet will make a yearly cash contribution to the Wildlife Conservation Society and donate $5 from each stroller sold. These funds will be used by the Wildlife Conservation Society to further the cause of protecting the world’s endangered species, to ensure that many generations to come can enjoy the bright colors and fascinating history of species like the tiger.
